Pat Tang leads the R&D organization of IonQ, creating technologies and hardware for our next generation of quantum computers. He was previously an Engineering VP at Amazon Lab126 and Hardware Manager at Apple, leading and engineering a wide array of products from Kindle to Mac. Before coming to the US, Pat was a physicist in Imperial College, London, creating far-infrared light emitting devices along with semiconductor research. In his spare time, Pat founded Project Mustard Seed, a charitable organization that provides shelter and education to the poor. He is also a board member of CityTeam that provides lasting solutions for the homeless.
